Celebrating Eid!
This afternoon we completed learning all about Eid and how Muslims celebrate. We then created our own Eid cards for our family and friends, tasted authentic foods and completed freeze frames.
Creating a group story map
In our writing sessions this week, we have been planning our independent write based on our story Cliffhanger. We demonstrated excellent teamwork when we created group story maps of Tim’s experience in the obstacle race. We shared our maps and retold the story in detail.
We love singing!
Every Thursday we participate in our singing assembly. Year 3 are always so enthusiastic when they are singing and we have been known to be heard all around school! Well done everyone!

Investigating our heart rate!
How does exercise affect the heart? This was the question we investigated today! We started by taking our resting heart rate then began exercising for 2 minutes! We then recorded our heart rate straight after exercising and we saw a dramatic increase! We couldn’t believe how much our heart rateā¦
The Brilliant British Empire!
We have created a graph to show the growth in imports and exports within the British Empire. Did you know that imports are goods that are bought into a country and exports are good sold abroad to other countries!

YMCA fitness fun
Year 6 went to the YMCA today to take part in a fitness session linked to our Science topic, Animals including Humans: The Circulatory System, Diet and Exercise. A great time was had by all!
Drenched in Dovedale
Year 6 went on a trip to Dovedale as part of our Out and About Week. This linked to our geography fieldwork study, where we got to see human features of geography including river features, different terrain and the joyous British weather!
