Week 17

It’s been a very cold this week and we’ve even had a number of snow showers, resulting in some of us unable to come to school. However, this didn’t stop us, those who stayed at home completed home learning, sending in lots of photos of their hard work which was wonderful to see. For those of us who came to school we continued with our learning but made sure we had time to go out and explore the snow. It was so much fun!

We talked about hike children as young as 5 went to work, how in Stoke-on-Trent there used to be a lot of farming, people worked in coal mines and in factories.

In Science, we have been looking at the season of autumn, in particular how animals prepare for hibernation in the winter. We talked about what hibernation is, as well as migration, looked at which animals hibernated and what this included. The discuss from 5e children using key vocabulary was amazing
