To all parents and carers,

A huge thank you to all parents for your support during the Summer Fayre. We raised over £650.00 and this will be of great benefit in providing more books into school for our beautiful children to read. The school parliament team will be selecting authors of all year groups from pupil voice to make sure we purchase books that will interest the children. Every penny helps our tight budgets so we appreciate it.

Last week we had 4 visitors from Singapore to view the teaching and learning of our children. In the afternoon the visitors led some paper making workshops and Tai Chi with the children. It was absolutely sensational. The photographs are on the website. This week we are expecting visitors from Dubai. It is most exciting.

This half term I have been out of school more than usual. This has been completing inspections and working with a Birmingham secondary school. School has benefitted with donations of nearly £12,000. This will be going towards a forest school area for the children to access in the wider curriculum – promoting independence, well-being, resilience and team work.

Many events are coming up this next fortnight. See on the reverse of the newsletter for all of the key events.

This week, we will receive the SATS results for Year 6. We are proud of our children, no matter what our results but we are confident that they will have all reached their potential.

The term dates are on the reverse of the newsletter for the academic year 2019-2020
