I cannot believe half term is here already. Next week we have opportunities for children offering a holiday club for free including lunch. More information will come out from school about this during the week. We want as many children as possible coming to enjoy the activities and fun.
I am out of school this week, working for Ofsted, but will be in school towards the end of the week. The money earnt inspecting this week gives a direct income into the school and we are using this money to buy new maths resources across the entire school for hands on practical maths and fraction work.
Miss Gaskell this week will be working with the other federated schools in Alpha Academy Trust on curriculum. This will be to enhance opportunities for our school. We are going to link with high schools such as Excel to have science lessons and practical science in the science labs. This is most exciting.
Over the holidays the school will be having some work. We are going to be furnishing the outdoor classrooms with furniture and IT equipment and the school is having new carpets in the corridors and stairs. I am delighted to say that we will also be having the stairwells decorated with curriculum information and a new key stage one outdoor area produced.
