This week, despite the sniffles that the cold weather has bought on, we have worked tremendously well in all our learning. We continue to be the best that we can be!

In English, we are aiming to write a character description of the wolf from the story Little Red Riding Hood. We will be writing the character description as a wanted poster! We have identified the features of a good character description and then practised these skills before we write our own. We have practised writing a question to begin and using adjectives to describe the wolf's appearance and behaviour.

In Maths, we have learnt how to use a number line and completing unfinished number lines. We have learnt to look at how the number line begins and ends, how many intervals there are and if it is counting up or down in 1s or 10s. We have then progress to estimating on a number line when numbers are missing or with no intervals.

We have begun the topic - Addition and Subtraction at the end of the week and have started with adding ones to a two digit number.

In Encompass this week we have looked at more famous landmarks in London. To begin the learning we started with a story 'A walk through London' to see if we can remember the landmarks and facts about them from last week. We have then been introduced and learnt about St Pauls Cathedral, the Monument and Houses of Parliament.

In Science, we have learnt about the four world habitats, the conditions of each habitat and what living things live there.
