I am delighted to say that this week we have had a 2 day teaching and learning review at Waterside. It was fantastic and the standards at Waterside have been further improved. School was judged to be outstanding in all areas of the current school framework and we are now looking forward to our inspection. The local authority always commision high quality reviewers who cast a critical eye over the work of leaders, evaluating the impact it has.
As a result of the review we are going to focus on increasing the modelling in maths marking to give children not only high quality verbal feedback but written examples too.
