To all parents and carers, We are now officially into December. The decorations are up in school and the winter spirit is embracing the school. We have our school fayre on Friday and so ask all parents to come along with families and friends to support the school and help raise funds whilst showcasing our magnificent school.
I would like to share that Mr Bevan, our Y5 teacher will be leaving Waterside at the end of term. Mr Bevan was a trainee teacher initially at Waterside and has been with us for 5 years. He will be moving to a school in Wilmslow to gain further experiences and opportunities. I am delighted to say that we have appointed an exceptional teacher for January in Mr Bates, who is returning to Waterside. We are thrilled.
Attendance has been poor the past couple of weeks. If children are not in school and on time they miss out on valuable learning. We have analysed data which shows our poorest attending children are achieving lower than their peers. Therefore, we ask you to action this immediately. This week we have complete 5 referrals to the local authority for fines and school as part of our policy has issued over 14 warning letters for close monitoring.
