Can I just thank parents for your hard work in supporting children with homework. Last week, over 90% of children completed their homework on time and it was of an exceptional quality in some cases. It really does support school if parents can listen daily to the children read and also practising their basic spellings and multiplication work.

I am delighted to say that over 92% of the school is either attending the after school clubs or moving learning forward intervention sessions. Some parents have asked if they can have the learning sent home. If you would like this, please speak with the class teacher at the end of the day and they will organise where possible. This is only for the interventions that children cannot attend.

Over the next couple of the weeks, the children will be taking part in environment challenges at lunchtime looking after our school. This will help us look after our school grounds as Autumn approaches. We will then finish our Autumn challenge with the ‘Harvest Festival’ on the 12th October. All parents are welcome. The children will be singing some Autumn songs and reading special poems.

I am delighted to say that the school has been working with Alpha Academy Trust and as part of our collaboration we will focusing on Reading. We will be working on the love of reading with children and sharing best practice with other schools. This will help improve our wonderful school even more.

If you have any questions, come and see me anytime.
