Scrambled Sentences!
As we have focussed on sentence structure and the importance of punctuation, we have unscrambled sentences from Goldilocks and the Three Bears to write using finger spaces.
Capital Letters Carousel!
We have been working on the importance of sentence structure to include the correct punctuation. Today we have focused on capital letters - identifying and matching the upper case and lower case letters.

This week we have been representing numbers and amounts in a variety of ways. During this lesson Year One represented objects practically using counters or bears in a tens frame.
The Christian Creation Story
In RE we are learning all about Christians and their beliefs. This week we have heard the creation story and how Christians believe God created the world over 7 days. We used our talk for writing map to sequence the seven days into the correct order.

Using body part labels to label our friends
In science we are learning about humans, this week we have been learning about body parts. Some children worked in groups to label each others body parts.
Marvellous Maths in Sealions- Sorting objects
Today we have done some excellent maths in Sealion class, we were given a variety of objects which we then had to sort in as many ways as we could. We were able to sort the objects by colour, shape, size and catergory.
Coding fun
Today during our coding topic in computing we debugged different programmes to help the chimp. We then created our own programme applying our skills we have learnt this topic.
Egg-cellent Science
Today we had lots of fun exploring materials. We investigated which material would be best for protect Humpty from falling off the wall.
Wild or Garden plant?
We have really enjoyed our Science topic on plants so far! Take a look at us exploring the school grounds for wild plants and garden plants. When we got back to the classroom we recorded our findings by drawing the plants we saw and labelling them.
Forest School Fun!
For our last Forest School session this academic year, we celebrated by enjoying a toasted marshmallow, more den building (this is our favourite activity), mud painting and chalking. The children truly do thrive in outdoor learning!
