Wednesday 6th January 2021

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all ready for another day of learning from home. At such short notice, Miss Davies and I are very pleased with the effort and learning received yesterday. Please continue to complete daily work and do not forget to take a picture to send to us. We are all missing you already and love to see your learning at home. We will most definitely be showcasing your work in the classroom ready for when you return.

This morning I would like you to ask your child what day is it today? Can they tell you what day it was yesterday, what day is it tomorrow? How many days are in a week?

The children are very good at their days of the week now and we have started to ask them what month we are in and what year. Can your child tell you?

As I am sure you can remember from last time, we love to sing in reception class so after your discussion sing the songs below to support their learning.

Take a look outside…what is the weather like today? What can you see? If we were coming into school today what clothing would we need to keep us warm? What might happen if we did not wear the correct clothing?

Now we know all about our day, it is time for phonics smiley
