Good morning Year 1! :) Thank you to those of you who sent in your work yesterday - we are very proud of you and the amazing work you are producing. As always, please remember to send your work in daily to your teachers, as and when it is completed. Before we start our learning today, we are going to warm up with some Just Dance.
Phonics (9.00-9.30)
Hopefully we are now warmed up and ready to learn. We will begin our learning today with some phonics. In phonics we are focusing on the sound 'au' as in 'haunted'. Follow the flipchart to complete the activities.
English (9:30-10:30)
In English, we are continuing with our work on Owl Babies.
This week, we are writing a non-chronological report all about owls. Today, we are focusing on the introduction of our non-chronological report.
Break time (10:30 - 10:45)
Well done Year 1, you are doing a great job, now time for a well-deserved break.

Maths (10:45-11:45)
Today in Maths, we are going learning about prepositional language to describe the position of objects. This includes vocabulary such as next to, between, above, below.
Numbers and Patterns (11.45-12.00)
Today in Numbers and Patterns we are finding one less than a given number using a 100 square.
Lunch (12.00- 1.00)
Reading Skills (1.00-1.30)
Today in Reading Skills we are going to continue to look at the story 'Cave Baby'. We will be answering vocabulary questions about the story.
RE (1.45-3.00)
This week in RE we are going to be looking at what stories are told in the Bible. We are looking at the parable of 'The Lost Sheep'.

Today's story time is a book called 'Supertato' by Sue Hendra. Sit back, relax and enjoy some relaxation after all of your hard work.
