Good morning Year 1! :) Are you ready for another fantastic day of home learning. Thank you to all of you who sent in your work yesterday - it is great to see you have been working so hard! Please remember to send your work in daily to your teachers. Before we start our learning today, we are going to take some time to get our brains ready and focused with some cosmic yoga. Enjoy!
Phonics – (9-9:30)
Hopefully we are now focused and ready to learn. We will begin our learning today with some phonics.
In phonics we are focusing on the diagraph 'oy' as in toy and royal . Follow the flipchart to complete the activities.
In English, we are continuing with our work on Owl Babies.
Today we are going to be retelling the beginning of the story, focusing on spellings using 'er' and 'est'
Break time (10:30 - 10:45)
Well done Year 1, you are doing a great job, now time for a well-deserved break.
Grab yourself a drink and a snack and give yourself a brain break.
In Maths today, we are learning to partition numbers into tens and ones using a part-part-whole model.
Numbers and Patterns (11:45-12:00)
Today in Numbers and Patterns we are learning about number bonds to 7.
