Good morning Stingrays!
I hope you are all keeping well and that you had a good day yesterday. I didn't hear much from you yesterday so please remember to keep sending any work to me on Dojo or email (email@example.com)
Your spelling lesson today is look, cover, write, check. Please remember to check your spellings! If you have some spare time, have a go at matching the the spelling words together:
In Grammar today, you will be using the correct tense to link paragraphs. All of these Grammar skills will help you with your third person narrative in English too :-)
Your LbQ code is:
d a c
Now it is time for English. Today, you are going to be summarising the 2 chapters that you read yesterday to help you with your planning.
Remember to summarise a beginning, a middle and an end. This will really help your narrative when you come to draft because you will have already said what you want to include :-)
Don't forget to add in what Y6 skills you are going to be using too!
Reading time :-)
Just like yesterday, you will be answering questions based on the Disney Christmas Advert.
Remember to re-play the video back as many times as you need to so you can get the correct answer. Your answers were lovely yesterday, keep it up!
After your break, it is now time for Maths. A huge well done to you who sent in your work yesterday, it's great to see how much prior learning you have with co-ordinates!
Remember to always read the x axis first, then the y axis!
So for example, the square in the image below is located at (-3, 2)
Next, we have Arithmetic and today we are looking at adding and subtracting negative numbers.
Use this little tip to help you:
How are you going to be mindful this afternoon to allow your brain to relax, refresh and recharge?
Here are some ideas below:
This afternoon, is your Science lesson and today you will be learning about how natural selection works and how this changes due to human interference!
Now here we are at the end of the day! Super day of learning Stingrays, well done!
Keep up the excellent work, Mrs Lawton and I cannot wait to see you very soon!
Take care, Miss Joinson x
