Friday 8th January

Good morning Year 1! We are on our last day of home learning for the week :) Thank you to all of you who sent in your work yesterday - it is great to see you have been working so hard!

Before we start our learning today, we are going to wake ourselves up with some Just Dance.

Hopefully we are now awake and ready to learn. We will begin our learning today with some phonics. 

In phonics we are focusing on the diagraph 'ie' as in tie and pie. Follow the flipchart to complete the activities.

 In English, we are continuing with our work on Owl Babies.

As we are now at the end of the week, we will be publishing our missing poster for Mother Owl. 

We will be making sure to include appropriate adjectives and verbs to describe what she looks like and what she does.

Maths (10:45-11:45)

 

In Maths today, we are learning to read and write numbers to 20 as words. We will be practising writing the correct numeral and word to match given pictures.

Good morning year 1! Thank you to those children who sent in your home learning from yesterday. We have loved looking at your fabulous work. Before we start our learning for today we are going to warm our brains up! I hope you are ready for a mix of fitness and Maths! Enjoy counting to 100.
