Pupil Results & Predictions

 

Each year the school publishes its statutory results and then also predicts its set of results for the following year.
Statutory tests are carried out in Year 1 with a phonics check, at the end of Year 2 with the Key Stage 1 Statutory Assessment Tests and then at the end of Year 6 with the Key Stage 2 Statutory Assessment Tests.
 
We always compare our own results against the national results so that we can give an accurate picture of where the school sits in terms of its ranking.

HEADLINE DATA 2016 AND 2017 AT WATERSIDE

This year our data of attainment and progress was sensational. We are in the top 10% of the country for Reading and Maths.The top progress measure available for schools to achieve. We are extremely

proud of our outcomes. We have also set our targets for this year with the leaders and staff of Waterside and we are excited to work towards these challenging but achievable

targets. Our school focus is Writing and progress is Writing to get this in the Top 10%

Progress was in the top category – Well Above Average in Reading, Writing and Maths. Reading and Maths were in the Top 10%.

Changes to Assessment and Tests from September 2016

Following a review of how children are levelled on their academic ability in the core subjects of English and Mathematics, the Government have decided to remove levels from the New Curriculum. This academic year will be the first group of children who will be tested at the end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 under a new system.
Top
