We ended the Autumn Term with 97.1% attendance

Phonics

 

We will start as we always do by recognising our own name. 

Please write 5+ different name cards (including your child's name) for your child to recognise and select their own name from. 

The quantity of name cards should vary depending on how easily your child is able to recognise their own name. This should be being increased gradually. 

I want to give out lots of dojo's for this task so please let me know how you get on with this task.

This morning for phonics we are going to play another game of silly soup!

Today we are searching for items around our home which begin with the 'd' sound. 

Remember, in phase one we concentrate on letter sounds not the visual letters so your child does not need to be recognising the letter yet.

 

I would like you to find 4 items from around your home beginning with the 'd' sound.

Remember to get our your bowl and mixing spoon and sing our song to make it fun!

 

"Today we're making silly soup, silly soup, silly soup! Today we're making silly soup- what's in the soup today?"

 

Here are some ideas that you could include in your 'd' sound soup. 
You might be able to think of some names of your family or friends to include in your silly soup.
