We ended the Autumn Term with 97.1% attendance

Phonics

 

Let's start phonics recognising our own name. 

Please write 5+ different name cards (including your child's name) for your child to recognise and select their own name from. 

The quantity of name cards can vary depending on how easily your child is able to recognise their own name. 

I want to give out lots of dojo's for this task so please let me know how you get on with this task.

 

This morning I would like you to use your sound makers that you created yesterday in Music. 

Explore the different sounds you can make. If you made more than one- do they sound the same? Do they sound different?

What do the sounds remind you of?

I made a sound maker filled with lentils and the sound it makes reminds me of rain!

Use your sound maker to sound out the syllables in your name- then try and see if you can use if for the names of the other people in your home.

Excellent!

 

Finally, I would like you to use your sounds maker, along with the different body percussion sounds we have previously explored, to create a sound rain storm!

 

 

Have lots of fun doing this.

I want to see videos of you completing this activity. 

You might want to ask the other people in your house to join you to make it even louder.
