We ended the Autumn Term with 97.1% attendance

Phonics

Let's start phonics recognising our name. 

Please write 2+ different name cards (including your childs name) for your child to recognise and select their own name from. 

The quantity can vary depending on how easily your child is able to recognise their own name. 

I want to give out lots of dojo's for this task so please let me know how you get on with this task.

This morning for phonics we are going to focus on aspect one - general sound discrimination: Environmental sounds. 

I would like you to choose a story from home. 

You are in charge of the sound effects. As you read through the story together think about the different sound effects you can add. 

Can you change your voice for the different characters? 

Can you make the sounds of the different objects in the story?

For example If there is a car- what sound does a car make? If there are animals, what sounds do the animals make?

I would like you to send me a short video of you reading part of your story together with your added voices and sound effects. Get creative and have lots of fun! smiley
