Happy Monday, I hope you all had a lovely weekend after a very busy week of home learning, this week Miss Davies will be trialling some live sessions with her class to see what is best for those learning at home. If you have any questions please get in touch via Dojo As always we will be asking for a 'Good Morning' and 'Good Afternoon' via Dojo for our online registers so we know everyone is well and learning. All learning should be sent to your child's portfolio on Dojo and any messages you have please send them to your child's class teacher; Ducks- Miss Davies, Swans- Miss Mayer.
This week we are going to be focusing on animals which live in cold habitats, we are going to be doing this through the book 'The Runaway Iceberg', so to begin the day we would like the children to list to the story.
As always when the children listen to stories we want them to develop their comprehension skills, so as you listen to the story you may want to pause it to ask the children questions to see if they understand what they are listening too or you may want to listen to the full story and then ask questions. Below are some questions you may want to ask:
Now you have read our story for the week it is time for our daily starter before your phonics lesson
You may want to record your child saying their sentence or you may get them to write it down, as always on the line using their pre cursive handwriting and using their phonics knowledge. I have attached a video below to help parents understand about children writing 'phonetically' and what that means. As always any questions please get in touch
