For maths this afternoon we are going to find some pairs!
A pair is a set of two things used together as one unit.
Such as a pair of socks or a pair of gloves.
There are two socks and two gloves but you need to use them together as a pair.
I would like you have a good think and have a look around the house for 3 different pairs of any object.
This might be gloves, socks, mittens, shoes- can you think of any other pairs?
I want you to find 3 pairs and then see if you count each individual object.
How many have you got?
After you have done this I would like your grown up to hide each individual sock/glove/shoe around the house and then I want you to hunt to find the matching pairs- these are the items that are the same and belong together.
We have had lots of fun playing this in school so I hope you enjoy!
Send me lots of photographs and videos so that I can see!
Excellent work!
I will leave you now with a number song to end our maths.
Sing along and use your fingers to represent the different numbers.
Show your grown ups how super you are!
