This morning for maths I would like you to think about the weight of different objects.
This means how light or how heavy something is.
Things that are light are very easy to hold or to pick up, things that are heavy might be difficult for you to pick up or to hold.
I would like you to find a box and 5 exciting objects from around your house (that will fit into your box)- some that are very small and light and some that are a bit heavier.
This might be toys, tins of food, cans, bottles- absolutely anything!
I want you to explore these objects with your grown up.
Which ones are very light and easy to pick up/hold?
Which one feels heavy- which is a bit trickier to pick up/hold?
Next, I would like you to close your eyes whilst your grown up places something in the box for you to hold.
Tell your grown up if it feels heavy or very light?
What might be in the box?
Did you get it right?
Make sure you send me photographs and videos of your super learning.
I will leave you now with some maths nursery rhymes to sing along to before lunch.
Don't forget to use your super maths counting skills to help your grown up to prepare your lunch.
