Today for numbers and patterns we would like you to begin with number rhymes, it is great for the children to know this rhymes and to sing them so they can think conceptually, counting forwards and backwards and watching things visually.

As normal recap the children's number formation, using your own knowledge of the numbers which your child needs to focus on.

Today's main task is number formation, the children are sending in some fantastic numbers but they need to continue to practise, the children are learning the numbers in order so it is important to see they can apply their knowledge to any situation. So say any number and get the children to write it, reminding them of formation and that every number should be the same size. I have attached a video about the number rhymes if your child needs it as a support.
