Good morning year 1!
We have made it to Friday after another sensational week of home learning. As always, you have blown us away with your amazing work and attitude at home. A big well done to all those that have been sending all learning through and on time. Please remember that work should be uploaded to your class portfolio at the end of each lesson for your teacher to mark and for progress to be given. This week is 'Children's Mental Health Week' so remember to express yourself and never be afraid to show your happiness through the things that make you happy like singing, dancing and being creative.
This morning we are going to start with some dancing to get us warmed up and ready for the day!

Today in phonics we are going to be looking and learning our remaining phase 5 tricky words. We will be looking at the words could, asked, looked and their.
English 9.30 - 10.30
This week in English, we are going to be looking at diaries and writing our own diary from the perspective of Mother Owl. Throughout the week, we are have looked at the features and hot seated the role of Mother Owl. Today, we are going to plan our diary entry.
Break Time 10.30 - 10.45
Well done Year 1! A sensational start to the morning, you are all working exceptionally hard. If you haven't already done so, remember to upload and send your morning work through to your class portfolio.
It's time for a well deserved break. Go and grab yourself a drink and a healthy snack and give yourself a brain break.
Maths 10.45 - 11.45
This week in Maths we are been counting in multiples of 2,5 and 10. We have been looking at repeated addition and arrays. Today, we are going to be solving word problems which involve using repeated addition.
Numbers and Patterns - 11.45 - 12.00
Today in numbers and patterns we will be continuing our learning about number bonds to 10.

Reading Skills - 1.15 - 1.45
Today for our reading slot, we would like you to log into Bug Club and read one of your allocated stories, answering the questions along the way. We will be looking on Bug Club to see which book you have read. You should all have your log in details for this, but if you have misplaced them then please get in touch with your class teacher. If you are having trouble accessing the site then we ask that you please read a story of your own from home, and upload a video of you reading to your portfolio.
Celebrating 'Children's Mental Health' week - Expressing yourself
This afternoon, to celebrate 'Children's Mental Health' week we would like you to do something at home that you enjoy and makes you feel happy. We would like you to express yourself by doing something you love! Remember that doesn't mean you have to be good at it but it has to be something that makes you feel good. This could be anything such as painting, drawing, dancing, singing, playing sports or even drama. We look forward to seeing the pictures of what you are getting up to.
