Hello, Ducklings.
Today it is Chinese New Year. It is the year of the ox! We will be learning about this throughout our activities today. I hope you enjoy.
We shall start our day as we do in school, with a dance to wake us up!
Get up and get moving!
Excellent.
Now, I hope you are ready for some learning.
Let's begin with the day of the week. Sing our days of the week song to help us.
Yesterday it was Thursday so today it is...
Yesterday it was Thursday so today it is Friday
It's the last day of the week AND the last day of our half term so we will be having a lovely and relaxing week off after today!
Well done if you got that. Give yourself a pat on the back!
Let's make today a super fun last day!
I would like you to think about the weather.
What season are we in? What will you wear if you go outside today?
Have a look outside and discuss with your grown up.
Super!
Now it's time to practise our Nursery Rhyme of the week.
We are practising this one for our grown ups as it is Valentines Day on the weekend - Sunday 14th February.
If you are learning all day with us, I would like you to practise this in the morning AND after lunch please.
I would like you to send in a video today of you singing our Nursery Rhyme of the week - having practised it all week. I look forward to seeing how well you have learnt it.
Please ensure that you all complete the Phonics and Maths tasks first before any of the other tasks.
Enjoy your day and please remember to upload your learning via class dojo portfolios throughout the day as you are completing it so that I can provide feedback throughout the day.
Miss Finn
