Afternoon Task

Tomorrow it is Chinese New Year. This year it is the year of the Ox.

We will be learning more about Chinese New Year tomorrow.

This afternoon I would like you to watch this short video about preparing for Chinese New Year.

CBeebies: Preparing For Chinese New Year - Let's Celebrate

Now, to prepare for Chinese New Year tomorrow, I would like you to create a Chinese Lantern.

Chinese Lanterns signify Good Luck. The colour red also signifies good luck.

I have attached below some instructions of how to make a Chinese Lantern and also some different colouring sheets and activities that you may want to have a go at.

Send me your photographs - I would love to see your preparation for Chinese New Year tomorrow.

I will leave you now with a lovely story to end our day of home learning.

Have a nice evening and I will see you online again tomorrow for a fun filled last day of our half term.
