Afternoon Task

Being Imaginative

Take a look at the picture below. This is an igloo. An igloo is a shelter made from really hard snow in the North Pole (Arctic). These help to protect people from the really cold weather and winds.

This afternoon I would like you to use your imagination to get creative.

I would like you to use your toys or any recycling from around your home to create an igloo OR a home for a Polar Bear.

Here are some ideas to get your started. Use anything that you can find. smiley

Remember ensure that you are creating as independently as possible - you decide how you want it to be. Fix the toys together yourself OR use the scissors and glue/tape by yourself. This will be great for developing your fine motor skills too!

You might want to have a look at the 'Mister Maker' video below for some ideas.

I can't wait to see your creations - make sure you send me a photograph!

Finally we will end our day with this lovely story.

We have read this story together before and we loved it so I thought you would enjoy it again as we have been learning about Polar Bears.

Enjoy and I will see you online again tomorrow.
