This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year, we are really enjoying this topic so far and there are lots of exciting activities to complete this week. The Chinese new year follows a 'Zodiac Wheel' this is made up of 12 different animals. Each year it is a new animal to represent the year. This year it is the year of the Ox.
To help us understand where the Chinese New Year began we would like you to read the story below. It tells us the story of a great race and how we came up with the Zodiac Wheel.
This afternoon, to celebrate Chinese New Year we would like you do make a Chinese dragon. In china they make the dragons and march them through the streets for the parade. I have attached lots of pictures for some ideas. Once you have finished your dragon take a picture and send it to your teacher :)
