This afternoon, I would like you to take a look at the video below.
We have done something similar to this before.
I would like your grown up to say some different emotion words to you and see if you can dance or act in a way that you would if you were feeling that emotion. For example if you are happy you might dance quickly. If you are sad you might dance slowly.
Grown-ups - some of these words in the video are too advanced so please just stick to Happy; Sad; Excited; Cross/Angry. You might want to add some others if your child suggests any different ones.
There are no right or wrong answers. I would just like your child to explore the different emotions and how they might affect us.
Next, I would like you to complete the mindfulness listening game below.
This kind of activity is very good if you are feeling a little bit too excited or a little bit sad or cross and you feel that you need to calm down a little. You might want to keep this to help you again in the future.
Finally, I will leave you with a lovely story to end our week.
I hope that you have had a lovely week at home.
It is another week closer to you being able to return to school and be with your friends.
I hope you have a lovely and restful weekend.
We are missing you lots in Nursery.
