Staffordshire Police Smart Alert - Can You Help?????

APPEAL: Thieves target Dougie Mac warehouse

Hello ,

Officers from Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a charity warehouse was burgled overnight.

Sometime between 4pm on Sunday afternoon (4 November) and 8am this morning (5 November), unknown offenders forced entry to the Dougie Mac warehouse on the Federation Road industrial estate in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.

Once inside, the offenders made an untidy search of the premises causing damage to equipment and stole an amount of cash before making their escape.

Local CCTV is being reviewed and enquiries are currently on-going.

Dougie Mac’s Head of Charity Trading, Liz Clarke said: “We are all reeling and in disbelief that anyone could be so heartless and immoral as to steal from a local charity that strives to provide care to local families when they need it most. To think that in our midst we have people who would want only destroy property that is part of a charity shop is beyond comprehension.

“We rely very heavily on our shops right across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire to help fund our vital care services for patients and families living with a life limiting condition. A quarter of our income is raised from our charity shop chain and without them, many of our care services would unfortunately not exist.”

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 121 of 5 November.
