Don’t be a bully! Be a buddy!
Year 2 created some wonderful posters to shout about anti bullying!
Hedgehogs!
We used the leaves we collected last week to use for spikes on our clay hedgehogs. We knew lots of facts about hedgehogs because we had been learning about them in our English lessons. Ms Barker was very impressed by our knowledge!
Other activities this week included bug hunting and mud…
Feed the birds!
Year two, today, in after school club made bird feeders. We know it is important to help the bird during the winter months so we got very messy making bird feeders. Have you spotted any in the trees around school?
We also made some amazing conker rolling pictures using paint and conkers.
Fascinating facts!
Today we researched lots of wonderful facts about hedgehogs to help us with our non chronological report. We focused on their appearance, diet and habitat. We even found some fascinating wow facts too.
Features of non chronological reports
Today we worked together to identify the features of a non-chronological report. We also identified the Year 2 skills to be included.

Forest School - Den building
The children worked in teams today to build a den, they had to think carefully about how they were going to build their den and what offered the most protection, if it rained. Super team work by all - well done!
Forest school. Smile - You’ve been framed!
In after school, Forest School today we practiced our knot tying skills to make picture frames! Smile - we did!
Mud painting!
Today in Forest School, after school club we made our own paint using mud! We dug for mud, mixed with water and painted pictures. We also hunted for bugs, we are starting to be able to name some bugs now. The rain came but we still had fun!
Amazing artists!
Today we have been exploring different mediums. We have used pencils/handwriting pens to complete observational drawings of the objects we collected last week to create replicas of Andy Goldsworthy’s work. Today we focused on continual line drawing and the results were fantastic.
